Cleaning of the engine bay is essential in keeping your brand new EcoSport in pristine condition. Cleaning must be done every 6 months or as necessary. While it is offered as part of the Periodic Maintenance Schedule (PMS) for any Ford vehicles, it is also possible to clean the engine yourself. You just need to keep in mind the following:

1. Use only water-damp cloth. Never spray water into the engine bay (except if you are a qualified technician and knows exactly what you are doing).
2. Avoid using oil-based cleaning agents to avoid attracting dirt. Just use water (no soap).
3. Do not use excessive pressure especially in cleaning the electrical connectors and tubes. Clean these components without disturbing them.
4. Always test the car before and after cleaning.
