Ambient Temperature Sensor

EcoSport is equipped with a thermometer (a sensor) for measuring the ambient temperature, that is, temperature of the air outside. This sensor is placed in the front section of the vehicle, right before the air enters the engine bay.

The ambient temperature is shown in the Information Display.

By placing some ice on the sensor, I was able to get a reading of 7 °C, pretty cool huh?

It appears that it is possible to relocate this sensor and attach it instead onto the radiator hose, to allow monitoring of the engine temperature. Note that such a modification may have an effect on the car’s performance, since the input is supposedly for ambient temperature.
