EcoSport’s rev limiter is a feature that helps prevent excessive engine revving by cutting off throttle input whenever you reach 6300 RPM, just below the red line. While a rev limiter helps prevent engine damage by setting a maximum limit, there are still instances in which damage may occur due to faulty driver input, such as shifting to lower gears at very high speeds, while at maximum RPM (doing so would shoot the RPM beyond the red line and very likely lead to catastrophic engine damage).
