Dashboard Switch for Opening the Rear Door

A dashboard switch for opening the rear door must be used with caution. Such a switch taps directly on to the wiring harness of the door-open button at the rear door. This modification is similar to the third button modification of the remote, which enables opening of the rear door, using the remote.

  1. Thank you for this informative blog. I just bought a 2 year old Ecosport and have difficulty trying to open the boot. I tried to request full subscription and requested for a password in order to watch this video but when I clicked ‘send password’, no password was received. I also followed the instruction to unsubscribe and subscribe full subscription but this also did not work. Where have I gone wrong please?

      • Thank you for the prompt reply. I’ve checked the first email and I can’t find any password. That’s why I unsubscribed and subscribed again as per instructions on the blog but without success either.

      • It happens when you subscribe using WordPress (subscribing using Wordress allows you to “follow” the blog but not get included in the mailing list). I’ll send you a temporary password in your email, but you will not be included in the mailing list where I send new passwords, until you sort it out. For instructions on how to fix that, click here. Unsubscribe the WordPress follow and enter your email instead. Thanks!
