While we’ve been to Intramuros countless times, we’ve never actually explored it until now. Two of its walls are adjacent to Manila Bay and Pasig River, taking advantage of natural barriers at the same time gaining access to water ways. The other walls facing inland (in the direction of Lawton, for example) are more heavily fortified (with provisions for mounting canons). Afraid of losing power and decided to build a wall?
