Our EcoSport’s first battery was a stock DIN44 battery, which after 2.5 years, replaced by a DIN55 battery. After another 2.5 years, we are replacing the battery with a DIN60. Apparently, the battery compartment of EcoSport can fit DIN44, DIN55, and DIN60 batteries.

Replace the battery at regular intervals to minimize the chance of a failed engine start due to a battery that is unable to hold enough charge. In the case of our EcoSport, we prefer to replace the battery every 2.5 years.

How is the battery height of the DIN60? Were you still able to fit back the black ECU mount above the battery sir?

Yes, we were able to put back the ECU compartment above the battery. The allowance is very tight but manageable.

That’s great sir, the Motolite Excel DIN55 was a little higher and I had to interchange the short and long ECU mount screws just to fit back the ECU. Drive safe sir

Thanks for the informative contents.
In may case, umabot sya ng approx. 3 yrs & 7 months until na tumirik na unit ko at di nag-start. I replace it with the same DIN44 Motolite Battery, not knowing na puede pla sya i-upgarde into DIN55 and DIN60 batteries. Question: Ano advantage using the DIN55 and DIN60 compared to DIN44?

The decision to use higher capacity battery is just a preference, as a DIN44 is very capable. Nakita lang ng ibang EcoSport owners na malaki pala enough ang space, to fit larger batteries, so why not use it. Yung DIN44, aalog-alog sya sa battery compartment dahil maliit sya, so to prevent this, naglagay sila ng kalang na plastic (ito yung tatanggalin para magkasya ang DIN55 or 60). Sayang rin kasi yung extra boost sa capacity na pwede ibigay ng larger batteries, which may be the difference between getting the car started on an important day, pag naluma na ang battery.
