Zambales Roadtrip

In May 2019, I went on a trip to Iba, Zambales. From Cavite, the trip took around 6 hours, via NLEX and SCTEX, passing through Subic, and eventually, through the Olongapo-Bogallon road. I had a flat tire due to a ‘key’ left on the road, which pierced a tire some 30 km before reaching Iba proper.

On the way home, I stopped by a long bridge traversing a very wide river, where the lahar from Pinatubo discharges directly to the sea. The amount of lahar deposited in that river is massive!

Bataan-Olongapo-Zambales Roadtrip

In August 2017, while on my way to Bataan, I decided to take a detour when I learned about a scheduled roadtrip with FESP-BOZ (Bataan-Olongapo-Zambales). Other FESP chapters such as FESP-SOUTHCAVS (South-Cavite) and FESP-QC (Quezon City) also joined the event.

FESP’s Grand EB in Zambales

On February 25, 2017, more than 80 units of Ford EcoSport gathered together for a grand eyeball (grand EB) at Subic Bay, Zambales, organized by the Ford EcoSport Philippines (FESP). The meetup was attended by EcoSport owners from Metro Manila and surrounding provinces, Central Luzon, and Southern Luzon.

This is by far, the largest EcoSport gathering that I have ever attended.

It is a truly memorable experience driving with your family through scenic routes, in a convoy of EcoSport that never seems to end. To get in touch with FESP and attend their future events, click here.

Back to Subic

I was back at Subic to attend a work-related event. I took this chance to take a photo at the Subic Bay, which we were unable to do on our last visit due to a stormy weather .

The Lighthouse at Subic

We’ve visited the Lighthouse in Subic, Zambales. We wanted to try out some water sports but it was a stormy weekend. We went visiting malls and duty-free shops instead, which sharpened our skill in converting dollar to peso ;) As we drive around Subic, we became more familiar with the first to stop, first to go traffic scheme.
