Bitbit River and Angat Dam in Bulacan

In August 2017, I joined a trip to Bitbit River and Angat Dam in Bulacan, organized by Weekend Drive Philippines (WDPh), a community of (as described on their website) road geeks, road trippers, road travelers who share the passion of discovering new places and conquering roads less traveled.

Bitbit River is a popular place among off-road enthusiasts for showcasing and testing a vehicle’s water-wading capability, as in the case of this river-crossing EcoSport (owned by no other than the founder of WDPh)!

Angat Dam supplies 90% of the water requirement of Metro Manila. It is part of the Angat Watershed and Forest Reserve, a protected area.

Here’s our approach to Bitbit River, on our way to Angat Dam. Unfortunately during our visit, the water level is too deep for any vehicle to cross.

ACCESS IS FREE, BUT HELP IS APPRECIATED

Through this blog, I intend to share things that I discover with our EcoSport. To donate a liter of gas to EcoSport DIY Series, click here.
